Which AC Is Perfect for Your Remodeled Home?

So you’ve just remodeled your home and you’re very happy with the results. Congratulations! Home remodeling can be a long, expensive, and arduous process that many homeowners need to save up for. Just the fact that you’ve gotten this far is something to celebrate!

That being said, the journey isn’t over yet. While temperatures are mild now, they’re going to get both hot and cold throughout the coming months and you’re going to need an air conditioner (as well as a heater) that works for your newly renovated home. It doesn’t matter if you need just an AC, a heater, or both, we’ve got you covered in this blog post.

Today, we’re going to discuss the best air conditioning installation in Sarasota, FL for homes that have recently undergone renovation or new additions. This is an exciting opportunity to upgrade your home to be more comfortable and energy-efficient!

Introducing the Ductless Mini Split!

While they might not be as recognizable or as well known as central air conditioners, ductless mini splits are a new up-and-comer in the HVAC world. They’re sleek, efficient, and they’re absolutely perfect for homes with new additions or that have recently been rennovated.

Central ACs or other centralized HVAC systems need to be accurately sized for the space they’re cooling. That means if your home recently added a new room, or renovations created some extra space that needs to be cooled, your AC will actually be underpowered and will run inefficiently. Likewise, if you invest in a new central AC, it’s going to restrict you from adding onto your home without replacing it again. A ductless mini split is a modular cooling and heating system that cools your home through individual air handlers that can be added or subtracted depending on the layout and space of your home.

How It Works:

Ductless HVAC systems work similarly to central air conditioners by cycling refrigerant from indoor systems to the outdoor cabinet. The big difference is that these systems don’t use air ducts, and instead up to four individual air handlers can blow conditioned air into your home at strategic locations. This takes away the prospect of leaking air in your air ducts, as well as the size issue of central AC systems we just mentioned.

To top it all off, ductless HVAC systems are extremely versatile since they can be individually controlled. You can set one mini split to 70 degrees, and the one downstairs to 68, and have a completely customized home when it comes to temperature control. Neat, huh?

What About Other Air Conditioners and Heaters?

Sure, you can absolutely still invest in other HVAC systems like a new central air conditioner or a centralized heat pump. You might even save money on the initial installation. However, you’re going to be restricted if you want work done in the future, and ductless mini split systems are absolutely perfect for homes that are changing with the needs of you and your family.
